Pleasant Day

Posted by Vivian Gonzalez

Another pleasant day is underway for South Florida... The only change in the forecast today will be some clouds on the increase due to a weak front trying to make it our way. This will be so weak it will pass by unnoticed and not even make a difference in our temperatures. Computer models are only showing a "very" slight chance of a shower tonight associated with the passage of the front, so outside of an isolated shower it will be a nice night.

On this Thursday, look for lots of sun and more clouds to be around late in the day. By Friday, the front fades over us and high pressure located in the Gulf of Mexico will reinforce itself over the region and extend to South Florida. This should keep our weather mostly dry, nice and mild.  Seasonal warmth will be on tap with lows in the middle 60s and highs in the low 80s.

Once next week rolls around we will be following another cold front. For now the computer models actually are introducing a slight chance of rain for Tuesday and Wednesday with no real cool down expected. Of course as new model runs come in, we will update you with the latest!

Tropics: All is quiet.

Have a wonderful Friday Eve South Florida and make it a safe one!

Feeling the HEAT

Posted by Vivian Gonzalez

We are going to be feeling the Heat once again this afternoon. Summer officially begins on Friday and wouldn't you know it... it's started a few weeks early for us with temperature reading a few degrees above where we should be for this time of year. The weather so far has been great and outside of a spotty inland storm today and Thursday that is basically it. On Friday, we could see some more moisture around.

Low rain chance for now

Posted by Vivian Gonzalez

Dad's day weekend was nice if you had outdoor activities planned and the start of the week is just the same. A low rain chance is expected on this Monday. We have a strong area of high pressure in control and if we see any showers or storms they will form well inland due to an East-Southeast breeze. However, seasonal chances are expected from Tuesday through Thursday. Originally the thinking was that we were going to tap into some tropical moisture associated with a disturbance (tropical wave) in the Northwestern Caribbean Sea, but it seems like the majority of it will be suppressed to the South. We will be monitoring moisture levels carefully. For now, only a 30-40% chance of rain is expected through Thursday.
