Increasing Chances
Posted by Vivian Gonzalez
Increasing chances for rain:
We have a weakening area of high pressure and warm winds from the South drawing tons of humidity. There is also a weak front entering North Florida, this will help to induce showers and thunderstorms between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Most of the computer models are showing this front moving slowly and stalling close to South Florida late Wednesday. Behind the front an area of high pressure will be building in around the Southeast United States picking up the breeze out of the Northeast on Thursday.
Also, the possibility of seeing a quick shower on the breeze will be there the next few days. Looks like waters will be choppy and turning to a moderate chop for the weekend. As far as temperatures are concerned, we are not expecting a drop in temperatures with the passage of this front.

Our Weekend Warm-up
We were spoiled with a mild start to the week as the air was drier and the highs were below normal. Over the next few days, it will be hot with more humidity as we reach seasonal afternoon heat. The dome of warm air that has not budged will bring the peak heat of the upper 80s with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the next few days.

I hope you've enjoyed our recent mild temps teamed up with drier air. A dome of warm air will push the mercury readings into the ballpark of our 87° average over the next couple of days. A cold front sweeping to the north will add more clouds to the scenery with a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms into next week.
