Happy New Year 2013
Posted by Phil Ferro
Good-bye to the "Maya end of the world" gloom and doom and say hello to a year full of promise and hope. Like a new baseball season, hope springs eternal and its time for all sorts of resolutions and a positive outlook. At least Mother Nature will cooperate.
Our weather will remain nice and mild with seasonal temps at least through Thursday when another cold front will approach the area. This front is impacting the Ohio River Valley with rain and snow. Some models hint at the tail end of this front moving in some time on Friday and bringing with it a chance for showers, but as of now, no change in temps.
Have a safe and happy 2013!

Our Weekend Warm-up

The dome of warm air that has not budged will bring the peak heat of the upper 80s with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the next few days.

Good-bye mild weather:
I hope you've enjoyed our recent mild temps teamed up with drier air. A dome of warm air will push the mercury readings into the ballpark of our 87° average over the next couple of days. A cold front sweeping to the north will add more clouds to the scenery with a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms into next week.
