The Big Squeeze
Posted by Phil Ferro
We are watching a cold front across the Southeast. It would be nice if it would make it here to cool us down, but right now high pressure over Florida is blocking its path.

The jet stream is pushing the front to the east Coast, you can even see the ripples in the cloud deck as the high over Florida pushes back. This will slow the progress of the front, and if it does make it, it may arrive by Friday. By then, it will only bring a few showers. Right now models say there will be no significant temp change with this front.

Our Weekend Warm-up
We were spoiled with a mild start to the week as the air was drier and the highs were below normal. Over the next few days, it will be hot with more humidity as we reach seasonal afternoon heat. The dome of warm air that has not budged will bring the peak heat of the upper 80s with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the next few days.
