Friday Cool Down

Posted by Phil Ferro

We officially tied a record for consecutive days of highs in the 80's for the city of Miami in the month of January. Fifteen consecutive days is the present mark set in 2002 . (( Fort Lauderdale had 4 days in the 70's )). We could break that record on Thursday as we again are forecasting highs in the 80's.

We will experience some cooler weather by the end of this week. A cold front that we have been watching will come through, bringing a few showers during the day and cooler temperatures by late Thursday night. Waking up on Friday morning... temperatures will be in the uppers 50s. By the afternoon it will reach the lowers 70s, with breezy conditions.

Once the cold front passes by, it will bring us comfortable temperatures through the weekend, with highs in the upper 70s.  Our typical temps for this time of year are lows in the 60s and highs around  76 degrees.

The HEAT Continues

Posted by Vivian Gonzalez

The "HEAT" Continues South Florida. High temperatures expected to range in the low 90s with the feel's like temperatures in the triple digits. Summer officially starts on Friday and we've been feeling the "HEAT" for a while now. This is due to steamy winds from the South as there is an area of high pressure centered in the Western Atlantic Ocean extending into the Gulf of Mexico. As far as rain chances are concerned, we will have typical chances each afternoon through Friday of seeing spotty inland storms. By the weekend, we could be dealing with a few more showers, but still feeling the Summer "HEAT." Temperature reading will be normal.

Feeling the HEAT

Posted by Vivian Gonzalez

We are going to be feeling the Heat once again this afternoon. Summer officially begins on Friday and wouldn't you know it... it's started a few weeks early for us with temperature reading a few degrees above where we should be for this time of year. The weather so far has been great and outside of a spotty inland storm today and Thursday that is basically it. On Friday, we could see some more moisture around.
