Rain Chances on the Rise

Posted by Vivian Gonzalez

South Florida rain chances are on the rise. This afternoon we could be nearing record heat as high temperatures are expected to soar into the upper 80s. The reason for the heat is because of a cold front crossing through our state. It is making our winds veer out of the Southwest to pump in more heat and humidity from the Gulf of Mexico. Also, our air is becoming unsettled as a result.

Through Thursday a decent chance of rain is in the forecast, but look for the majority of the rain to come in on Wednesday. Conditions should be drier and cooler by Friday, followed by colder weather for the second half of the weekend.... and I am talking about the 40s for overnight lows on Sunday.

Have a wonderful Tuesday South Florida and make it a safe one!

Our Weekend Warm-up

We were spoiled with a mild start to the week as the air was drier and the highs were below normal. Over the next few days, it will be hot with more humidity as we reach seasonal afternoon heat. The dome of warm air that has not budged will bring the peak heat of the upper 80s with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the next few days.

Back to Summer-like Heat

Good-bye mild weather:

I hope you've enjoyed our recent mild temps teamed up with drier air. A dome of warm air will push the mercury readings into the ballpark of our 87° average over the next couple of days. A cold front sweeping to the north will add more clouds to the scenery with a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms into next week.
