South Florida a cold front over us is producing overcast skies and periods of showers at times, so umbrella weather it is today. However, the sunshine that will be available will help to trigger an isolated thunderstorm late this afternoon. The cold front will linger through Thursday morning which is why we are leaving a chance of showers in the forecast.
Beyond Thursday conditions will be cooling down each day leading into the weekend. Another cold front is set to move through late Saturday and bring colder air for the beginning of next week. Computer models are not in agreement on how cold it will get, but we could dip into the upper 40s for low temperatures on Monday.
On another note... On Channel 7 News you probably heard the story of Maggie the puppy who was saved by Miami-Dade Station 34 firefighters. Maggie is an adorable one year old puppy who needs one last surgery to help save her remaining back dislocated leg. After the surgery, she will be able to be adopted and have the opportunity to go to a loving home. Pets give us unconditional love and the fact that Maggie could have the opportunity to love and be loved is priceless.
