On a Roll

Our weather has been arriving in "streaks" during recent weeks. Just 1-week ago, we were getting day after day... of downpours! Since then, it has been very quiet, dry, and pleasant. Nighttime temperatures have even been mild (for the season) while days have been warm with low humidity.
Some subtle changes are expected as the week continues. As high pressure drifts eastward, our air will slowly veer off of the Atlantic Ocean. Once that happens, you'll probably notice the return of more humidity... mainly by late Thursday and Friday. Then, an increase in moisture will arrive during the weekend. That deeper batch of moist air should be a catalyst for developing showers and storms... from the weekend into the start of next week. Some of the long range forecast maps even show an approaching cold front from the north. If that happens and it moves close enough to us, there may be a higher chance for developing storms, especially during the afternoon hours!
