Mother's Day & Tropical Activity?
Posted by Phil Ferro
The most wonderful person in the world is your mother. No one understands you better, loves you unconditionally, and will always call you by your siblings name...but all in the most loving way.
This Sunday will have a little of everything.
Plenty of sun, heat and humidity. I am forecasting highs in the upper 80's but would not surprised to see a 90° reading somewhere in the afternoon. Of course with all that heat and moisture, you can expect an anytime thunderstorm to develop. Regardless, have a wonderful Mother's Day!
Meanwhile, we are getting closer to hurricane season and we have the first tid-bit of activity. It is an area of low pressure a few hundred miles northeast of Puerto Rico. While it may look good on Satellite imagery, fortunately upper winds are not favorable for development. The low will continue to move into the open waters of the Atlantic. It will only be a worry for shipping interests.
I hope this is not a sign as to how active this year may be. As always stay with 7Weather for all your tropical news.
