The Heat is On!

The Heat is On in South Florida
A round of showers and storms made a brief appearance on Tuesday, hitting hardest on South Florida's west coast. The unsettled weather was the result of a weak tropical wave that is now emerging into the Gulf of Mexico.
What are we left with? Simply put, a ton of steamy air out of the tropics! A southerly flow will continue through the middle of the week, and any rain shower that forms could bring heavy downpours. Having said that... general steering winds should keep most of the action well inland.
Finally, a slight veer in our winds will make for hotter temperatures (with spotty daytime downpours) at the end of the work week. Highs will range from the lower to middle 90s with the "feels like" reading (heat index) near 100-degrees.
Make sure you keep an eye to the sky during the afternoon hours!
