Some Showers on the 4th
Posted by Vivian Gonzalez
Independence Day: A batch of drier air should be moving in from the Bahamas. Our winds are starting to veer out of the East indicating that high pressure is nudging closer to us. However, a slight chance of some showers is possible along our ocean breeze. Basically seasonal type weather will be around with morning/overnight coastal showers and chances of an anytime thunderstorm.
A stronger onshore air flow from the East will elevate the threat of rip currents at the beaches. To protect yourself, swim at guarded beaches.
Friday: If the moisture holds with a weak wave East of the Bahamas, then we will see more rain to end the week.
Tropics: Area of clouds and rain over the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico has a low chance of 10% to develop. It is expected to move into the Bay of Campeche in the next two days.
Have a wonderful day South Florida and make it a safe one!
