I know it was probably one of those weekends where you brought your plans indoors, as wet weather usually makes it a movies kind of one or help make up for the lack of sleep during the regular week... Although the start of another week is here, more of the same type of weather is expected. Therefore, please have your umbrellas with you at all times. We will see sun in spots, but it will be limited in that department. The main concern will be flooding since the ground is already saturated from all the rain we received over the weekend. On Tuesday, the main focus for the showers and storms will be inland with a better breeze building along the coast.
Rainy season is in full swing and it is not going anywhere any time soon. From Wednesday through Friday moisture levels increase slightly due to a bank of moisture located East of the Bahamas. This means a decent chance of rain remains in the forecast. Right now the chances are between 40-50 percent.
Now you are probably asking when will it be drier? Most of the computer models are showing that improvements will take place over the weekend. It will be drier, but not totally dry. Our Summertime pattern will shape up with bright sun and spotty inland storms as another area of high pressure will build back into the region. Maybe a beach weekend?
Tropics: We have a few impressive waves coming off the coast of Africa. The National Hurricane Center is not watching any areas of concern for development at this time.
Keep it here to your Storm Station for the latest. Have a great start to the week South Florida and make it a safe one!
