Sunny South Florida Skies

Sun and Fun for the Weekend
On our Labor Day weekend, we will see a mix of sun and clouds in South Florida. The upper level low that supplied us with rain earlier this week is falling apart over the sunshine state. Some moisture will linger from this system. This means, we cannot rule out the possibility of passing showers and isolated inland thunderstorms this weekend and on Labor Day.
Eye on the Tropics
A tropical wave approximately 500 miles east of the Lesser Antilles has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone over the next 5 days as the wave is expected to track into a pocket of drier air.
An area of low pressure off the west coast of Africa still has a medium chance of developing into a tropical cyclone over the next 3 to 5 days. With this system, most of the models agree it will stay out in the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
